I had this waffle maker for about 4 years and used it 2-3 times a year. It was easy to use - it emits a beep when the waffle is done so it was relatively foolproof. Unfortunately it recently stopped working - I was in the middle of making a batch and it died during the 3rd waffle. Considering the very light usage it got, I am pretty disappointed.

We are very pleased with our new Chef's Choice waffle iron. It heats up quickly and the 'beep' that indicates the waffle is done is great! In addition, we like the choice of degree of cooking. Also, compact storage (upright) is a plus.
Our purchase was the result of a recommendation in 'Cook's Illustrated' - a magazine we trust and enjoy.

I am from Germany and every Sunday we had heart shaped waffles. Something I always will remember. This is why I bought the heart waffle iron for all my children so my grandchildren will have the same fun and when they come to "Omi" german for grandma that's what they want for breakfast.
I had a chef,s choise waffle iron for 20years so I went again with that brand. We love it
